Maia Josebachvili is a multi-functional executive, former founder, and company builder. She is currently Head of Strategy and Operations and Business Lead (GM) for Stripe's enterprise product and has held a number of senior leadership roles at Stripe including Head of Enterprise Product, Head of Corporate Development and Head of People. Maia is active in the startup community and loves partnering with and advising founders. In addition to being an advisor at GV, she’s on the Board of Directors of Brightwheel, an LP in Operator Collective, and an active advisor to several other startups.

Before Stripe, Maia was the Founder and CEO of Urban Escapes, an e-commerce travel company. She was honored as Inc’s 30 under 30, and eventually sold the startup to LivingSocial, where Maia served as GM of New Business Initiatives and incubated three different businesses. She later served as CMO and VP of Strategy & People at Greenhouse. During her time there, Maia wrote a widely circulated whitepaper on how to measure the ROI of investing in people and Greenhouse was honored as the #1 Best Place to Work by Glassdoor. Before her career in tech, she also had a short stint as a professional skydiver.

Maia’s career has been non-linear, but the common throughline has been working with exceptional people to build terrific products and organizations. She’s passionate about designing and implementing operating systems that enable companies and their most important asset — people – to scale. Through her roles, she’s experienced every stage of growth from one to 8,000+ employees.

Maia received her bachelor’s in engineering from Dartmouth College and remains active with the school, serving on the Board of the Center for Entrepreneurship. Outside work, you can find her trail running in Marin or camping in her sprinter van with her husband and two sons.
